Grand Opening – New Kitchen!

Parkland residents are invited to celebrate the grand opening of the new kitchen at the Parkland Community Center this Saturday, April 12, at 10:00 AM. The ribbon-cutting ceremony will mark the culmination of months of planning and hard work, providing a much-anticipated upgrade to a central community hub in our family-friendly Florida suburb.

The project, funded through a combination of local donations and a grant from the Parkland Civic Fund, has transformed the community center's culinary facilities. The new kitchen boasts modern appliances, increased counter space, and improved accessibility, designed to better serve the diverse needs of local groups and events.

"This new kitchen is more than just a place to prepare food; it's an investment in our community's future," stated Martha Jenkins, President of the Parkland Community Association. "It will allow us to host larger events, offer more cooking classes, and provide better support for our local food bank initiatives. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who contributed to making this vision a reality."

The grand opening event will include light refreshments prepared in the new kitchen, tours of the facility, and an opportunity to meet the volunteers and community leaders who spearheaded the project. Local dignitaries, including Mayor Thompson, are expected to attend and offer remarks.

The Parkland Community Center, located at 142 Main Street in the heart of Broward County's Parkland, serves as a vital gathering place for numerous local organizations, from senior citizen groups to youth clubs. The enhanced kitchen facilities are expected to significantly boost the center's capacity to host community meals, fundraising dinners, and educational workshops.

All community members are encouraged to attend the grand opening and see firsthand the improvements that will benefit Parkland for years to come. The event is free and open to the public.
