Got Bocce Ball? Key West Does!

Key West residents, from lifelong Conchs to newcomers, looking for a new way to enjoy the island's beautiful weather and socialize with neighbors have a fresh option: bocce ball. The City of Key West recently completed the installation of two new bocce ball courts at the popular Bayview Park, located at 1320 Truman Avenue.

The courts, situated near the existing tennis and pickleball facilities, are now open for public use. This initiative, part of the city's ongoing efforts to enhance recreational opportunities for all ages, provides a dedicated space for the classic Italian lawn game that combines skill, strategy, and a relaxed atmosphere perfect for Key West's island lifestyle. Local enthusiasts have already been spotted trying out the new courts, bringing their own bocce sets and enjoying friendly competition.

While there are no formal leagues announced yet, the addition of these courts is expected to foster a growing interest in bocce ball within the vibrant Key West community. Residents are encouraged to visit Bayview Park and experience the new amenity. The park is open daily from dawn until dusk.
