According to NBC Miami, five people were displaced after the fire at the Fort Lauderdale home. NBC Miami also reported that firefighters rescued a dog, two rabbits and a bearded dragon from the residence.
Gainesville Fire Rescue said crews responded to a residential fire on NE 17th Way at 8:26 p.m. and that Engine 3 made the initial attack and quickly got the fire under control. No injuries, fatalities or cause have been confirmed in the information released so far.
The response appears to have been handled quickly by fire crews, with officials describing the fire as under control shortly after the initial attack. No additional public statements, press conference details or formal investigative updates were found in the available reports.
