Former Jets RB Le'Veon Bell Alleges Cocaine Use by Coach Adam Gase

Former NFL running back Le'Veon Bell accused former New York Jets head coach Adam Gase of repeated cocaine use during their time together with the team. Bell made these allegations during an appearance on the podcast *Respectfully* with host Justin Laboy.

Bell joined the Jets in 2019, the same season Gase became head coach. The team concluded the 2019 season with a 7-9 record. Bell recorded 789 rushing yards and three touchdowns over the season.

During the 2020 season, the Jets posted a 2-14 record. The team released Bell after he played two games. He subsequently signed with the Kansas City Chiefs. The Jets fired Gase at the end of the 2020 season.

Bell described Gase as "the dumbest coach ever" on the podcast. When prompted, Bell claimed Gase engaged in activities in his office that coaches should not. Bell then used the term "white girl," slang for cocaine, and performed a snorting gesture to elaborate on his accusation. Bell stated he witnessed Gase using the substance before practice. He further claimed these incidents occurred "not just once." Bell indicated that while he had heard rumors, personally witnessing the alleged acts surprised him.
