No. 15 Florida Sweeps Missouri in SEC Opening
GAINESVILLE — No. 15 Florida opened Southeastern Conference play with three consecutive victories over Missouri at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium, outscoring the Tigers 21-4 across the series.
The Gators won the first game 8-0 in six innings. Kendra Falby went 3-for-3 with two RBIs, and Keagan Rothrock pitched a complete-game shutout with seven strikeouts.
Florida won the second game 4-3. Jocelyn Erickson hit a two-run home run in the first inning, and Baylee Goddard drove in the winning run with a sixth-inning single. Elizabeth Hightower earned the win in relief, allowing no runs in 3.1 innings.
The Gators finished the sweep with a 9-1 victory in five innings. Skylar Wallace went 3-for-3 with a double, triple and three RBIs. Ava Brown added two hits and two RBIs, and Olivia Miller earned the win, allowing one run on three hits.
Florida improved to 22-4 overall and 3-0 in SEC play. Missouri fell to 17-8, 0-3 in conference.
