Florida Southern Upsets No. 1 Tampa 3-1 in Baseball

Florida Southern College defeated top-ranked University of Tampa 3-1 Friday night at UTampa Baseball Field, handing the Spartans their first conference loss.
The Moccasins scored two runs in the fifth inning and added an insurance run in the ninth. Florida Southern's pitching held Tampa to four hits.
Florida Southern improved to 17-13 overall and 7-5 in the Sunshine State Conference. Tampa fell to 26-5 overall and 12-1 in conference play.
