Hialeah healthcare practitioners renewing their licenses will now experience a streamlined process, as the Florida Department of Health's Division of Medical Quality Assurance (MQA) has implemented an automatic review of continuing education (CE) records. This change, effective since June 11, 2026, aims to simplify renewals for those with complete records while prompting others to fulfill their requirements.

The MQA online service portal, designed for 24/7 access, provides a range of licensing services. Practitioners use it to apply for licenses, check application statuses, and manage their licensure records. The portal also allows users to search for approved counterfeit-proof prescription pad vendors and request certification of their Florida licenses.

A key feature of the MQA portal is its direct access to the License Verification tool. This tool allows users to search the Division's database by licensee name or number, view disciplinary actions, and access practitioner profiles. Organizations and individuals seeking general license information about multiple practitioners under specific board regulation can utilize the Public Data Portal link.

The new automatic CE review process integrates directly with the electronic tracking system. When practitioners renew their licenses, the system automatically checks their continuing education records. Those with complete records will proceed with renewal without interruption. If records are incomplete, the system will prompt practitioners to enter their remaining CE hours before they can finalize their license renewal.

This update follows legislative changes, including SB 1668, which became effective on June 11, 2026, and clarified the assessment process.
