Fitzpatrick Wins RBC Heritage Playoff Over Scheffler

Matt Fitzpatrick defeated Scottie Scheffler with a birdie on the first playoff hole to win the RBC Heritage. Fitzpatrick finished the tournament with a final-round 70, reaching an 18-under 266 total.

Scheffler, the world No. 1, carded a final-round 67, also finishing at 18-under 266. He made 11 birdies over the final two rounds. Fitzpatrick secured the win on the 73rd hole with a 13-foot birdie putt after hitting his 4-iron approach to 13 feet from 204 yards.

This victory marks Fitzpatrick's second RBC Heritage title, making him the first non-American player to win the event twice. He earned $3.6 million for his fourth career PGA Tour win, also securing his second tour victory this season following his win at the Valspar Championship last month.
