Fire Chief Thomas Smothers Marks Two Decades of Service to Ocoee

Ocoee residents continue to benefit from the dedicated leadership of Fire Chief Thomas Smothers, who has proudly served the City of Ocoee Fire Department for more than 20 years. Chief Smothers dedicated his entire fire service career to the community he calls home.

What began as a calling to serve has grown into decades of steady leadership, commitment, and care for the people of Ocoee. Beyond his professional duties, Chief Smothers is a family man, a devoted Christ-follower, married for over 38 years. He is a proud father of two grown children and grandfather to four energetic grandsons.

When not serving the community, Chief Smothers enjoys rounds of golf with his wife, spending time with his family, or cheering on his favorite football team.

The City of Ocoee Fire Department encourages residents to get involved with their local Fire Department.
