Green's Light is No More

Fernandina Beach residents will notice a change at a familiar intersection as the traffic light at the corner of Green Street and South 14th Street in the historic Old Town neighborhood has been permanently removed. The removal, which took place this week, aims to improve traffic flow and safety in the area.

City officials determined that the light, often referred to by locals as "Green's Light," was no longer necessary due to updated traffic patterns and the installation of new signage and road markings.
