Family Incomes Rose, Poverty Declined in 2025, Census Bureau Reports
A new Census Bureau report indicates that average family incomes increased during 2025, while the official poverty rate decreased. Health care coverage levels remained largely unchanged from the previous year.
WASHINGTON D.C. – Average family incomes increased across the nation in 2025 compared to the prior year, according to an annual report released by the Census Bureau. The data also showed a decline in the official poverty rate during the same period.
The report indicated that health care coverage levels experienced minimal change from 2024 to 2025.
Analysts from the Census Bureau compiled the findings as part of their yearly assessment of economic well-being and health insurance status nationwide.
