Family Fun & Fire Safety Education Converge at Anchorage Park Event

North Palm Beach residents can look forward to a day of family fun and vital safety education at Anchorage Park on Saturday, October 10. The popular Touch-A-Truck event teams up with the Annual Fire Safety Fair, offering children and adults a unique, hands-on experience with large vehicles and interactive fire prevention activities.

This combined event provides a practical way for families to engage with community services and learn important safety lessons. Children will have the chance to explore a variety of vehicles, including cement mixers, moving trucks, and oversized tow trucks, offering a rare opportunity to climb inside and see how they work.

The Annual Fire Safety Fair integration means attendees can also participate in interactive fire safety activities. These include the 'Hose House,' where children can practice using a fire hose, and a Search & Rescue maze designed to teach safe navigation in an emergency. Firefighters will be on hand to meet families and discuss fire prevention. The event also features a K-9 demonstration and an appearance by Smokey Bear.

For families with sensitive children, a 'Horn-Free Hour' will take place from 10:00 to 11:00 am. During this time, vehicles will not sound their horns, providing a quieter environment. The event runs from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at Anchorage Park, located at 603 Anchorage Drive.
