Duval County Voters Can Now Request Mail-In Ballots for 2026 General Election

Jacksonville residents preparing for the 2026 General Election can now request vote-by-mail ballots. Duval County Supervisor of Elections Jerry Holland announced the availability of these ballots, offering a convenient way for registered voters to participate.

This initiative directly impacts all registered voters in Duval County, providing an alternative to in-person voting. The ability to vote by mail ensures greater accessibility for residents, particularly those with busy schedules or mobility concerns.

Voters can request their vote-by-mail ballots by phone or in person. To request by phone, residents should call 904-255-8683. They need to provide their full name, date of birth, and current mailing address if it differs from their residential address. Elector verification requires a Florida driver's license number, a Florida identification number, or the last four digits of their Social Security number. Voters must also specify the election or elections for which they are requesting a ballot.

For those who prefer an in-person request, the Duval County Supervisor of Elections Office is located at 105 E. Monroe St. in Jacksonville. The office can assist voters directly with their ballot requests.

Under state regulations, vote-by-mail requests do not automatically renew. Voters must renew their request after each general election to continue receiving ballots by mail. Requested ballots can be delivered to a voter’s legal residence, permanent mailing address, or a temporary address. Election officials remind voters that the postal service cannot forward these mail-in ballots.
