Drone Attack Targets Russian Oil Hub, 13 Killed
Authorities in Russia's Tatarstan region reported that a Ukrainian drone strike on the Nizhnekamsk petroleum hub resulted in 13 fatalities. The attack also injured 78 other individuals, according to regional officials. The incident represents one of the deadliest reported attacks during the four-year conflict.
The strike targeted facilities located deep within Russian territory. Details regarding the extent of damage to the petroleum infrastructure remain limited.
The Tatarstan region is situated approximately 700 miles east of the Ukraine border. This distance places Nizhnekamsk among the farthest targets struck within Russia since the conflict began.
