Dorothy M. Bethune, 84, of Fort Walton Beach, Passes Away Peacefully

Fort Walton Beach resident Dorothy M. Bethune, 84, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 17, 2026, at her residence. Her passing marks a loss for her family and friends across the region.

Mrs. Bethune was born in Mobile, Alabama, to James and Verbina (McReynolds) Dixon. She spent her life building a family that included children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, all of whom survive her. She also leaves behind siblings, nieces, nephews, and other close relatives and friends.
