Doncic Out for Thunder Series Opener, Week-to-Week Evaluation Confirmed

The Los Angeles Lakers will begin their Western Conference Semifinals series against the Oklahoma City Thunder without guard Luka Doncic. Doncic is currently under a week-to-week evaluation for a Grade 2 hamstring strain, as reported by ESPN's Shams Charania.

Doncic sustained the injury on April 2 during a regular-season game. He subsequently missed the entire first-round series against the Houston Rockets. The Lakers secured their spot in the semifinals by defeating the Rockets 4-2.

Doncic has appeared in 64 games this season. He averaged 33.5 points, 7.7 rebounds, 8.3 assists, and 1.6 steals per game. The Thunder, who swept the Phoenix Suns, have had additional rest days prior to the series.
