The Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the San Francisco Giants 5-2, securing a series split and reclaiming sole possession of the National League West lead. Will Smith hit his first career leadoff home run in the bottom of the first inning off Landen Roupp (5-4).
Hyeseong Kim extended the Dodgers' lead to 2-0 with an RBI single in the second inning. The Giants tied the game at 2-2 in the fifth when Jung Hoo Lee hit an inside-the-park, two-run home run off Emmet Sheehan (3-1).
In the sixth inning, pinch-hitter Alex Call hit a two-run single off Matt Gage, scoring Max Muncy and Teoscar Hernández. Miguel Rojas followed with an RBI single, expanding the Dodgers' lead to 5-2. Sheehan pitched six innings, allowing two runs on two hits while striking out six. Tanner Scott earned his fourth save, retiring the side in the ninth. Roupp pitched 5.1 innings for the Giants, yielding four runs on six hits and striking out seven batters.
