West Palm Beach Police detectives have apprehended a suspect in connection with a recent bank robbery that occurred at the TruBank branch on Okeechobee Boulevard. The arrest took place yesterday, April 7, 2026, bringing a swift resolution to the case that had concerned local residents.
Authorities identified the suspect as 34-year-old Marcus Thorne. He was taken into custody without incident at a residence in the South End neighborhood, a longstanding residential area in West Palm Beach. The West Palm Beach Police Department had been actively investigating the robbery since it was reported last week.
The TruBank branch, located near the intersection of Okeechobee Boulevard and Military Trail in West Palm Beach's bustling commercial corridor, was robbed on the afternoon of April 2.
