Dense Fog Advisory: Drive with Caution in Central and Northern North Dakota

A Dense Fog Advisory has been issued for portions of central and northern North Dakota until 10 AM CDT (9 AM MDT) this morning, September 29, 2026. The National Weather Service in Bismarck, ND, reports that visibility will be reduced to one-quarter mile or less due to dense fog.

The advisory affects the following counties: Divide, Burke, Renville, Bottineau, Rolette, Williams, Mountrail, McHenry, Pierce, McKenzie, Dunn, Mercer, Sheridan, Wells, Stark, Burleigh, Kidder, Hettinger, Grant, Adams, Emmons, Logan, McIntosh, Northwest Ward, Central and Southern Ward/Minot Area, Western McLean, Eastern McLean, Western Morton, Eastern Morton, Western Sioux, and Eastern Sioux.

Low visibility will create hazardous driving conditions. Motorists are urged to slow down, use their headlights, and maintain a safe following distance from other vehicles. The advisory is effective immediately and expires at 10 AM CDT this morning.
