Davie Fire: Smoke Inhalation Reported, Red Cross Assists Displaced Families

One adult and one child suffered smoke inhalation after a fire at a home-apartment complex in Davie, and this is what we know so far.

According to WSVN 7News, the Davie Fire Department said both victims were taken to Broward Health Medical Center in serious condition. The fire was reported on the 11000 block of Southwest 15th Manor, where responders said several families were forced from their homes.

Officials said about 10 adults and 10 children from other units were displaced, and volunteers with the American Red Cross were helping them, according to WSVN. The report did not include information on the cause of the fire or whether any arrests had been made.
