County Highway H Closure LaGrange | July-October Repairs
Walworth County will close a 3.2-mile stretch of County Highway H in the Town of LaGrange starting July 9 for pavement rehabilitation through October 30. The closure affects the section between U.S. Highway 12 and Young Road.
Through traffic will detour via State Highway 67, County Highway S in Waukesha County, and State Highway 59. Local traffic can access properties along the closed section, though road conditions will change during construction.
The project includes replacing cross culverts and driveway culverts, installing curb and gutter, milling and pulverizing existing asphalt, repairing the gravel base, and constructing new asphalt pavement with gravel shoulders. Workers will install new signs and pavement markings.
The county will fully close the roadway during daytime hours when crews install cross culverts. Emergency services, postal delivery, garbage collection, and school buses will maintain access. Workers will reopen the road to two-way local traffic each evening.
Drivers using local access should watch for changing road conditions and construction signs and drive slowly. Message boards will display updates as the project progresses.
