Countryside Foot & Ankle Center Offers Specialized Sports Injury Treatment in Clearwater
Clearwater residents suffering from sports-related foot and ankle injuries now have a dedicated local resource for specialized care. Countryside Foot & Ankle Center, located in the vibrant Countryside neighborhood at 375 Turner Street, is expanding its services to focus on comprehensive treatment for athletes and active individuals.
The facility recently received Flexible Development approval for its conversion into a medical clinic within the Institutional (I) District. This approval, identified as FLD2025-10026, was an action item on a recent City Council agenda, allowing for the necessary modifications to the property. The existing building, which does not exceed 35 feet in height, will feature a modified parking lot with 57 off-street spaces. Flexibility was granted for reduced off-street parking and landscape buffers based on a parking demand study and a Comprehensive Landscape Program, as outlined in Community Development Code sections.
This development means that athletes, from school-aged competitors at local institutions like Countryside High School to adult league participants and weekend warriors, can access advanced diagnostic and treatment options close to home. Common sports injuries such as sprains, fractures, Achilles tendonitis, plantar fasciitis, and stress fractures will be among the conditions addressed by the center's specialists.
The establishment of this specialized clinic underscores Clearwater's commitment to supporting the health and well-being of its active community members, who cherish the city's scenic beaches and parks. With the City Council's approval, Countryside Foot & Ankle Center is poised to become a key local institution for sports injury recovery and prevention.
For those interested in the city's development processes, the minutes from the March 17, 2026 Community Development Board (CDB) meeting, which included discussions pertinent to this approval, are available for review. The next Neighborhood and Affordable Housing Advisory Board meeting is scheduled for April 14, 2026, at 9:00 AM in the Main Library - Council Chambers.
