Coral Springs City Commission Approves New Park Maintenance Contract
The Coral Springs City Commission voted unanimously last night, April 7, 2026, to approve a new three-year contract for park maintenance services. The decision, made during their regular bi-weekly meeting at City Hall on University Drive, the city's main north-south thoroughfare, ensures the continued upkeep of the city's numerous parks and recreational facilities.
The new contract, awarded to GreenScape Solutions Inc., a local landscaping company based out of Sample Road, is valued at an estimated $1.2 million annually. This agreement covers routine landscaping, facility cleaning, and general maintenance across all 49 city parks, including popular spots like Mullins Park in the northwest neighborhood and the Sportsplex.
City Manager Frank Johnson stated that the selection process involved a thorough review of multiple bids, with GreenScape Solutions Inc. demonstrating the best value and a strong understanding of Coral Springs' specific needs. "Maintaining our beautiful parks is a top priority for our residents," Johnson commented. "This new contract ensures our green spaces remain pristine and enjoyable for everyone."
The new contract officially begins on May 1, 2026. Residents can expect to see GreenScape Solutions Inc. crews actively working in parks throughout the city in the coming weeks.
