Citrus County Commissioners Approve New Road Maintenance Contract
Citrus County Commissioners voted unanimously yesterday, April 7, to approve a new road maintenance contract with local firm, Pave-It-All Inc., based out of Inverness, the county seat. The contract, valued at $1.2 million, will cover routine repairs and resurfacing for various county roads over the next fiscal year, starting October 1, 2026.
The decision came during the regular commission meeting held at the historic Citrus County Courthouse on Main Street in Inverness. Commissioner Martha Jenkins highlighted the importance of maintaining local infrastructure, stating, "This investment ensures our roads remain safe and accessible for all residents, from Crystal River to Floral City."
Pave-It-All Inc. has a long-standing history of working with the county, and their proposal was selected after a competitive bidding process. Work is expected to begin on County Road 488 near Lecanto by early next year, with specific schedules to be announced closer to the contract start date.
