CDC to Convene National Conference on Diabetes and Obesity
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) Division of Diabetes Translation and the Division of Nutrition and Physical Activity will hold a national conference focused on diabetes and obesity. The meeting will examine the increasing rates of these conditions in the United States.
Conference participants will discuss potential strategies for prevention and treatment. These strategies include improving environmental factors impacting health, and changing public policies. Improving healthcare systems will be another focus, as well as methods for helping individuals adopt healthier lifestyles.
