Bryan Kohberger Seeks to Withdraw Plea in Idaho Murders Case

Attorneys representing Bryan Kohberger, the individual accused in the 2022 homicides of four University of Idaho students, have indicated his intention to withdraw his current plea. This development emerges as a streaming service prepares to air a series that includes interviews with family members of the victims.

Kohberger faces charges in connection with the deaths of Madison Mogen, Kaylee Goncalves, Xana Kernodle, and Ethan Chapin. Law enforcement officials arrested Kohberger in December 2022 in Pennsylvania. Prosecutors later charged him with four counts of first-degree murder and one count of felony burglary.

The trial has not yet begun. Court proceedings related to the case have occurred in Latah County, Idaho. The defense has previously filed motions related to grand jury proceedings and the discovery of evidence.

Netflix announced a new docuseries titled 'The Idaho Murders: Trial in the Mountains,' scheduled for release. This series reportedly features new interviews with the victims' families, focusing on their perspectives regarding the ongoing legal process and the impact of the crimes.
