Avalanche Defeat Wild in Game 2, Take Series Lead

The Colorado Avalanche defeated the Minnesota Wild 4-2 in Game 2 of the 2026 Stanley Cup playoff second-round series. Colorado now leads the series 2-0.

Nathan MacKinnon contributed significantly for the Avalanche, scoring two goals and adding an assist. Cale Makar also recorded a goal and two assists. Mikko Rantanen secured a goal for Colorado. Avalanche goaltender Alexandar Georgiev made 28 saves on 30 shots faced.

Kirill Kaprizov and Matt Boldy each scored a goal for the Wild. Filip Gustavsson stopped 25 of 29 shots for Minnesota. The series now shifts to Colorado for Game 3.
