Applications Open for Next Round of Alachua County Forever Program

Gainesville residents and landowners interested in preserving environmentally sensitive land within Alachua County have a new opportunity to participate in the Alachua County Forever program. Applications are now being accepted for the next round of land acquisitions.

The Alachua County Forever program is dedicated to protecting environmentally sensitive lands from development, ensuring these vital natural spaces—from the wetlands around Newnans Lake to the forests near the Santa Fe River—remain for future generations. Landowners who are interested in selling their property for conservation purposes are encouraged to apply.

The deadline for submitting applications is July 12. This initiative is a cornerstone of the county's efforts to maintain its natural beauty and ecological integrity.
