Airstrikes in Southern Lebanon Kill 11, Health Ministry Reports

BEIRUT, LEBANON — Israeli airstrikes in southern Lebanon resulted in the deaths of 11 people, the Lebanese Health Ministry reported. The ministry did not immediately provide additional details regarding the identities of those killed or the specific locations of the strikes.

The airstrikes took place after Israel and the Lebanese government announced a framework agreement on June 26. This agreement established a plan for Israeli forces to withdraw from southern Lebanon. In exchange for the withdrawal, the framework agreement included provisions for the disarmament of the group Hezbollah.
