Aaron Rodgers Signs One-Year Deal with Steelers, Rejoining Mike McCarthy

The Pittsburgh Steelers signed Aaron Rodgers to a one-year contract for the 2026 season. The agreement pairs Rodgers with head coach Mike McCarthy, who previously coached him for 13 seasons with the Green Bay Packers.

Rodgers played for the Steelers in the 2025 season under then head coach Mike Tomlin, who resigned at the end of the season. McCarthy’s hiring reportedly influenced Rodgers' decision to return to Pittsburgh.

Rodgers, age 42, is expected to participate in the Steelers' OTAs, which begin on Monday.
