Aaron Rodgers Signs One-Year Deal with Steelers for 2026 Season
National Desk
May 19, 2026
Aaron Rodgers will play his 22nd NFL season with the Pittsburgh Steelers, signing a one-year contract. This marks his second season with Pittsburgh after a 2025 campaign where he led the team to a 10-6 record and a Wild Card berth.
Mike McCarthy, previously Rodgers' coach with the Green Bay Packers from 2006-2018, was hired as the Steelers' head coach in January. During their time together in Green Bay, Rodgers had a 100-57-1 record, including a Super Bowl victory in 2011.
The Steelers drafted quarterbacks Drew Allar and Will Howard in recent years, however, neither is considered ready to immediately start. Rodgers' presence provides a veteran leader for the offense.
