Aaron Rodgers Signs One-Year, $25 Million Deal with Steelers
Aaron Rodgers formalized his return to the Pittsburgh Steelers, signing a one-year contract valued at up to $25 million. The four-time NFL MVP will participate in Organized Team Activities, commencing preparations for the upcoming season. Rodgers concluded the previous season with 3,322 passing yards, 24 touchdowns, and a 94.8 passer rating.
Aaron Rodgers officially returned to the Pittsburgh Steelers on a one-year contract worth up to $25 million. This deal includes a base salary between $22 million and $23 million, with additional incentives. The four-time NFL MVP enters his 22nd NFL season with the Steelers, following a 2025 campaign where he completed 65.7 percent of his passes for 3,322 yards, 24 touchdowns, and seven interceptions, achieving a 94.8 passer rating over 16 games. The Steelers finished the 2025 season with a 10-6 record.
Rodgers will report for Organized Team Activities (OTAs) as offseason work begins. Last season, he joined the team during mandatory minicamp. He previously engaged with teammates Ben Skowronek, Pat Freiermuth, and Mason Rudolph in Pittsburgh.
Against the Baltimore Ravens last season, Rodgers recorded 578 passing yards, two touchdowns, and zero interceptions across two matchups, with a 95.6 passer rating. In the Week 18 AFC North title game, he completed 31 of 47 passes for 294 yards. The Steelers had reportedly placed a right-of-first-refusal tag on Rodgers.
