A Fresh Start
Crystal River residents are invited to a community clean-up event this Saturday, April 12, aimed at sprucing up the historic downtown area and local parks. Organized by the Crystal River Beautification Committee, the initiative seeks to foster civic pride and prepare the city for the upcoming spring tourist season.
Volunteers are asked to meet at 9:00 AM at the gazebo in picturesque Heritage Village Park, located at 500 N. Citrus Avenue. Tasks will include litter removal, weeding flower beds, and light landscaping along scenic North Citrus Avenue and the surrounding side streets. The City of Crystal River Public Works Department will provide gloves, trash bags, and other necessary tools. Refreshments will be available for all participants.
"This is a wonderful opportunity for neighbors to come together and make a tangible difference in our community," stated Martha Jenkins, Chair of the Beautification Committee. "Every little bit helps to keep Crystal River looking its best for both our residents and the visitors who cherish our beautiful town."
For more information or to sign up, residents can contact the Crystal River City Hall during business hours.
