Wind Advisory Issued for Local Area: Gusts Up to 50 MPH Expected Today
A Wind Advisory has been issued for the Port Townsend Area, Strait of Juan de Fuca, Northern Washington Coast, and Island County, with gusts up to 50 mph expected today, September 25, from 11 AM to 8 PM PDT.
Residents in the Port Townsend Area, Eastern and Western Strait of Juan de Fuca, Northern Washington Coast, and Island County should prepare for a Wind Advisory issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) Seattle WA.
West winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph are expected from 11 AM this morning, September 25, until 8 PM PDT this evening, September 25. The NWS warns that gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects, and tree limbs may be blown down. Isolated power outages are also possible.
Drivers, particularly those operating high-profile vehicles, are advised to use extra caution, as these strong winds can make driving difficult.
