Obesity Linked to Increased Risk of Several Cancers

Analysis of cancer diagnoses in the United States during 2014 found a link between being overweight or obese and an increased risk of developing certain cancers.

The study indicated that individuals classified as overweight or obese face a higher probability of being diagnosed with 13 specific types of cancer.

These cancers represented approximately 40 percent of all cancer diagnoses recorded across the United States during that year.
