HATTIESBURG, Miss. — Southern Miss softball clinched the Sun Belt Conference regular-season championship in 2025, capping the campaign with a 4-1 victory over Texas State as first reported by the Biloxi Sun Herald. The Golden Eagles posted a 33-23 overall record and 14-10 in conference play, tying their most Sun Belt wins since 2016 despite dropping a doubleheader to ULM—1-0 and 2-1—to close the regular season at the ULM Softball Complex in Monroe, Louisiana.

The Lady Eagles, representing the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, compete in NCAA Division I as part of the Sun Belt Conference.
