Residents in Eastern Pondera, Eastern Teton, Cascade County (below 5000ft), Judith Basin County, Judith Gap, Fergus County (below 4500ft), and Meagher County Valleys should prepare for heavy snow and difficult travel conditions. The National Weather Service (NWS) in Great Falls, MT, has issued a Winter Storm Warning effective until 6:00 AM MDT on Monday, October 12.

Additional snow accumulations of up to 3 inches are expected. The NWS warns that the wet and heavy nature of the snow could lead to downed tree branches and isolated power outages. Travel is expected to be very difficult during this period.

If travel is essential, the NWS advises keeping an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle. For the latest road conditions, dial 5-1-1. This warning was issued by the NWS Great Falls MT at 11:30 PM MDT on October 11.
