Math Instructor Daphne Perkins Retires From BRTC After 22 Years

Daphne Perkins retired from Black River Technical College after 22 years teaching mathematics. The college honored her at an end-of-year faculty reception, presenting her with a plaque and her choice of a bench or rocking chair.

"Daphne has been a steady and thoughtful presence in our department, and her impact goes well beyond the classroom," math instructor Travis Harris said. "She brought consistency, a strong commitment to students, and a leadership style that helped keep things grounded."

Perkins joined BRTC in 2004. The college serves students across northeast Arkansas.
