Timothy Lutrey, Plainfield Ad Executive and Artist, Dies at 84

Timothy M. Lutrey, a Plainfield resident and former partner at the Chicago advertising firm Sebstad, Lutrey & Evenson, died May 17 at age 84.

Mr. Lutrey earned a degree in art and design from the Illinois Institute of Technology. At his firm, he worked on the John Deere leaping deer logo and campaigns for Beatrice Foods Co., Ansul Fire Protection, and Tricon Manufacturing Co.

After retiring, he converted his Plainfield home into an art gallery, filling the walls with oil and acrylic paintings. He also spent decades building 1/72 scale models of World War II aircraft, completing hundreds of hyperrealistic replicas of warplanes from the conflict.

He is survived by his wife, Donna; his children, David and Ann Stockard; and four grandchildren, Grace, Emma, Ava, and Jake.
