Tampa Bay Groups Get Federal Disaster Recovery Grants

Three Tampa Bay organizations received U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA) FY25 Disaster Supplemental Grants to aid economic recovery after recent extreme weather.

Hernando County Government received $13.6 million for critical infrastructure improvements at the Brooksville-Tampa Bay Regional Airport (BKV). The funding will support aviation development and job creation.

The City of Treasure Island received $125,000 to develop an Economic Revitalization and Resiliency Plan. This plan will guide post-hurricane rebuilding and focus on industry diversification and business attraction.

Tampa Bay Wave was awarded $1.4 million to launch a pilot accelerator initiative. This program will help communities build economic resilience following hurricanes Idalia, Helene, and Milton.
