Pinellas Park Utility Rates Stay Same in October

Pinellas Park residents will see no changes to their utility bills for October. The city announced that rates for water, sewer, garbage, recycling, and reclaimed water services remain the same as previous months.
The established rate structure includes tiered pricing for water usage. The cost per 1,000 gallons ranges from $9.72 for the first 8,000 gallons, increasing to $12.33 for usage of 19,100 gallons or more. A minimum monthly water bill of $29.16 applies to all accounts.
Sewer services carry a minimum bill of $37.32, with an additional $12.44 for each 1,000 gallons thereafter. Residents within city limits pay a 10% utility tax on their water charges, while those outside city limits face a 25% surcharge on both water and sewer bills.
Residential garbage collection, provided twice weekly, and weekly recycling collection, cost $23.67 per month combined.
Reclaimed water rates vary by meter size and location. Single-family residential accounts inside city limits pay a flat fee of $16.54 for meters up to 1 inch. Accounts outside city limits are charged a flat fee of $20.68.
A monthly fee for backflow preventer maintenance applies: $3.00 for meters less than 2 inches and $14.00 for 2-inch meters and above. These devices protect drinking water safety.
