The Pinellas County Recreation Department is encouraging residents to try a new seasonal recipe: Pumpkin Flatbread. The department features a different recipe each month to promote healthy eating and culinary exploration across the county.
Pumpkin, a key ingredient in the flatbread, provides Vitamin A, which supports vision, immune function and skin health. The recipe also includes fiber for digestive health, and vegetable oil adds healthy fats beneficial for absorbing fat-soluble vitamins. Each serving contains approximately 218 calories, 5 grams of protein, 38 grams of carbohydrates and 5 grams of fat.
The Recreation Department suggests pairing the flatbread with lean proteins, additional healthy fats or vegetables to enhance its nutritional value.
Residents can find the full recipe and nutritional details through the Pinellas County Recreation Department's public information resources.
