NUHS Supports Veteran Students in [Your City/Region]

The National University of Health Sciences (NUHS) supports United States veterans and active military personnel. The university hosts many service members among its students, administration, faculty, and staff. NUHS assists student veterans through Department of Veterans Affairs programs. Depending on eligibility, tuition costs for degree programs may be covered up to 100%. Amber Misiowiec, a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine student and veteran, said the rigorous programs at NUHS require resilience, drawing on her experiences in high-pressure situations during service. She noted the importance of teamwork on campus. “Throughout my first trimester, I found support not only from peers but also from professors and upperclassmen, highlighting the collective commitment to each other’s success on campus,” Misiowiec said.

The university offers programs including Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine (DC), Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine (ND), Doctor of Acupuncture (DAc), and Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences (BS). Students can indicate their program interest and desired start date, with options ranging from Fall 2026 to Summer 2028.
