The Hub Teen Center Opens New Permanent Location in Pinellas Park

Pinellas Park teens now have a permanent space to call their own. The Hub Teen Center recently relocated to 7780 60th Street N., near the Davis Commons area and across from the City Courts. The center offers a safe and engaging environment for young people and is now fully operational in its new location.

The Hub provides expanded programming for teens ages 13-17, allowing them to socialize, make friends and explore new activities. The center is open after school, during school breaks and for summer camp. It also serves as the headquarters for the TeenWorkx program.

The concept for a dedicated teen recreation center emerged in spring 2016. The goal was to give community teens an outlet and a space they could identify with. Funding for the original center, which opened in June 2016 in the Youth Park neighborhood, came from an anonymous donation and a grant from the Pinellas Park Police Department's confiscation fund.

Following redevelopment in the Youth Park area for the Sprowls Horizon Sports Park, the teen center operated briefly at Forbes Recreation Center before moving to its current permanent facility in November 2025.
