Pinellas Park City Councilman Keith V. Sabiel has dedicated decades to public service, first as a city employee and now as an elected official. Residents elected Sabiel to the City Council in March 2018.
Sabiel brings extensive experience to his role, having worked for the City of Pinellas Park for 40 years before his election. He currently represents the city on several key bodies, including the Countywide Homeless Leadership Network, the Community Redevelopment Agency, and the School Transportation Safety Committee.
Before joining the City Council, Sabiel actively participated in community governance. He served as a member of the Planning and Zoning Board and was a past board member of the Pinellas Park National Little League. His commitment to the community also extended to fostering children, as he was a licensed Pinellas County Foster Care Parent. Sabiel is a Deacon at Pinellas Park Church of Christ and a member of People Helping People.
Sabiel has been married to his wife, Tammy, for 40 years. They have two children, a son named Keith and a daughter named Kimberly. Their family includes six granddaughters and one grandson. The Sabiel family enjoys outdoor activities such as fishing, boating, jet-skiing, kayaking, camping, and mission work.
Sabiel ran for City Council after his 40 years of employment with the city, stating his desire to give back to the community that has been good to him and his family. He continues to serve Pinellas Park residents through his council duties and community involvement.
