Pinellas County Water Restrictions: One Day Per Week
Pinellas County will enforce a modified Phase III water shortage order beginning April 3, 2026, limiting residents to one day per week for lawn watering.
Homeowners with even-numbered addresses can water on Tuesdays. Those with odd-numbered addresses must water on Thursdays. Mixed-use properties and locations without specific addresses, including shopping centers and office complexes, can water on Thursdays.
The restrictions cover car washing at home, which residents can only do on their designated watering day using a hose with a shutoff nozzle. Car washing must occur on the lawn.
Restaurants throughout the county must serve water only when customers request it, rather than automatically providing it to diners.
Homeowners associations cannot enforce deed restrictions or community standards that require increased water use, such as mandating green lawns.
Pinellas County Utilities will fine residents who violate the schedule $193 per violation. The restrictions apply countywide to all residents regardless of water provider.
The county has not announced an end date for the order. Residents in apartments or condominiums should check with property management to confirm their watering day for common areas and landscaping. More information is available at pinellas.gov.
