Vice Mayor Reid Meets State Lawmakers on City Issues

Vice Mayor Tom Reid met with six state legislators in Tallahassee last week during the Florida League of Cities' Legislative Action Days, pressing them on municipal concerns including property taxes, sovereign immunity, and the city's appropriations request.

Reid spoke with Representatives Rayner, Gonzalez-Pittman, Cross, and Valdés; Minority Leader Driscoll; and Senator Hooper. The annual event brings city officials to the Capitol to advocate for local control on statewide issues affecting municipalities.
