St. Petersburg officially appointed Brad Tennant as its new Assistant City Attorney. Tennant brings extensive experience in municipal law to the city's legal department.

Tennant's role involves providing legal counsel to various city departments, drafting ordinances and resolutions, and representing St. Petersburg in legal proceedings. His background in local government law aims to strengthen the city's legal operations and ensure compliance with regulations.

Tennant Joins St. Pete Legal Team

City Attorney Jeannine M. Williams expressed enthusiasm for Tennant's appointment. "We are thrilled to welcome Brad Tennant to the City of St. Petersburg," Williams stated. Extensive Background in Municipal Law

Tennant holds a Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Florida. He is a member of The Florida Bar and has participated in professional organizations focused on municipal law.

Before joining St. Petersburg, Tennant served as an Assistant County Attorney for Pinellas County. In that role, he advised county departments on legal matters concerning land use, contracts, and environmental regulations, gaining practical experience directly relevant to his new position.

New Role and Responsibilities

In his new capacity, Tennant will advise city departments on legal issues, contribute to the creation of local laws, and act as the city's representative in court when necessary. This work is crucial for the smooth functioning of city government and its adherence to legal standards.
