A strong thunderstorm capable of producing funnel clouds and wind gusts up to 50 mph was detected by Doppler radar at 8:20 PM EDT, moving southeast at 10 mph. The NWS indicates that this storm was tracking over Feather Sound, or near Pinellas Park. This statement is effective immediately and expires at 8:45 PM EDT tonight, October 7, 2026.
Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. If you are outdoors in the affected areas, please consider seeking shelter inside a building until the statement expires.
