Amanda Beitman Named Executive Director of Beth El Congregation

Beth El Congregation of Baltimore appointed Amanda Beitman as Executive Director, the synagogue announced this week.

Beitman moves from her role as Chief Advancement Officer and Director of Development, where she led fundraising efforts and strengthened donor relationships. She will oversee the congregation's operations and set strategic direction.

"Amanda has already demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to Beth El and an understanding of what makes our community so special," said Rebecca Fruman, president of Beth El.

Rabbi Steven Schwartz said Beitman brings "professionalism and heart" to her work and understands "the rhythm of synagogue life and the importance of building meaningful relationships."

Rabbi Dana Saroken cited Beitman's ability to unite members and approach challenges with determination. "Amanda's energy, vision, and deep commitment to our community will help ensure that Beth El remains a vibrant, welcoming, and forward-thinking place," Saroken said.

Beitman said she views the role as an honor. "We are fortunate to have extraordinary clergy, dedicated staff, and passionate lay leaders whose commitment to Jewish life inspires me," she said.
